Latest data, while varied across the Pacific, shows the region as a whole is lagging behind the rest of the world in achieving progress towards the 2030 Agenda target of achieving universal access to basic water and sanitation services.  Further to this is the challenge of maintaining water and sanitation services and practices that are resilient to the mounting impacts of climate variability and change.More needs to be done to accelerate progress to ensure Pacific people have access to safe and resilient water and sanitation in accordance with goals of the 2030 Agenda and Framework for Resilient Development in the Pacific (FRDP).This dialogue will centre on understanding how we can accelerate action across the various sectors and partners committed to progressing safe and resilient water and sanitation for Pacific.  This one-day meeting is intended to find ways forward to accelerate this critical action towards a more resilient Pacific.
