The SPC's Geoscience, Energy and Maritime (GEM) Division uses scientific and technical innovations to help our Pacific region collectively overcome some of our greatest challenges.
This includes:
- finding better ways to coordinate and prepare for disasters;
- Helping secure our #BluePacific through maritime boundaries and ocean work;
- Understanding the impact for sea-level rise and the changes occurring in our ocean of islands;
- And improving the access to water, sanitation and electricity for Pacific people
